Tammy
Tropeau* began her professional dance training at the age of nine at The
National Ballet School in Toronto. After six years of study in both the
Vagonova and Cecchetti methods with such teachers as Ms. Oliphant, Mr. Luc
Amyot, and Karen Kain, Tammy graduated in 1992. After a short professional
training program in Philadelphia Tammy realized that her feet were failing
and under went reconstructive surgery on both feet. She then returned to The
National Ballet School for an additional two years for their Professional
Teacher Training Pro-gram. Tammy graduated in 1994 and holds her Elementary,
Intermediate and Advanced Cecchetti certificates as well as her Associate
Imperial Society Teachers of Dancing certificate allowing her to place
students into examinations. At the age of 19 Tammy returned to Saskatoon to
open her own studio. Since then she has been invited to Spain to study
flamenco dance, traveled to New York and Las Vegas to study new dance
techniques, and returned to Toronto for Cecchetti seminars. This summer she
traveled to Las Vegas with the Studio One teaching staff for the Tremaine
Dance Convention.
Shauna Engdahl*
is returning as part of the teaching staff at Studio One for the
eleventh year. Shauna has a great ability to teach her love of dance to
children of all ages. Shauna trained at Studio One under the
direction of Tammy Tropeau and Justine Romanoff. She has competed in
countless competitions and received numerous awards as a competitive
dancer. Shauna has also traveled extensively to attend various
conventions, giving her the opportunity to learn new styles from
world-renowned choreographers.

Nicole Romanoff*
has loved dance since the very beginning. Her formal dance training
began at age three at Sitter School of Dance in Saskatoon. She is
trained in ballet, tap and jazz, and has competed in several
competitions around the province and performed many times in Dare to
Dance. In addition, she has received C.D.T.A. exam certificates in
tap and jazz, and continues to educate herself in the newest styles
by regularly attending dance conventions across North America.
Nicole has also broadened her knowledge to yoga and has completed
her first teaching seminar with Shiva Rea in Venice, California.

Jacqueline Romanoff*
began dancing at the age of three with Sitter School of Dance—where
she completed her elementary R.A.D. and advanced C.D.T.A. tap and
jazz exams. While also being a competitive dancer with Sitter’s,
Jacqueline developed a great passion not only for dance but for
performing. And now as a teacher she loves engaging students to develop
their stage presence, while being strong technical dancers. Entering
her 9th year of teaching, Jacqueline has received many awards from
competitions for choreography and teaching and she is always on the
hunt for fresh ideas by regularly attending dance conventions. She
is delighted to be back at Studio One!

Braiden
Stevenson began dancing at five years old, at Lanigan Dance
Dynamics. At age thirteen he attended the Royal Winnipeg Ballet
Summer School, and stayed for 2 consecutive years in the full time
professional training program. At fifteen he moved home to Lanigan
where he completed his Advanced C.D.T.A. Tap and Jazz Exams, and
Intermediate R.A.D. Ballet exam. He moved to North Battleford to
continue his training under Virginia Winterhalt. In 2006 he was
chosen as the “Performer of the Festival” at the Battleford’s Dance
Festival. After graduating he spent 7 months in Japan dancing at
the Tokyo Disney Resort. Princess Cruises was next, working on board
the Grand and Sea Princess vessels, traveling to 23 countries in his
16 months on board. It was then back to Japan, but this time, due to
a knee injury followed by surgery, his stay was only 4 months. Braiden then took time to heal and retrain in Toronto and Vancouver.
Braiden went back to sea, working for Royal Caribbean, on board the
Liberty of the Seas where he learned aerial arts such as hoops,
silks, bungee and hand-loop. Braiden is thrilled and excited to be
back for another year at Studio One.

Kenley
Knock is a recent graduate from the University of Calgary with
her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a specialization in ballet. Upon
graduating she was awarded her Associates Certificate from the
Cecchetti Society of Canada. She began her training at Studio one
R.P. Dance under the direction of Tammy Tropeau and trained there
for 8 years before moving to Calgary to pursue her passion. While in
Calgary, Kenley participated in many performances and worked for a
variety of choreographers. She has traveled the world performing and
loves what she does. Through teaching Kenley hopes to encourage
young aspiring dancers to pursue their dreams.

Laura
Turnbull trained at Marian Gymnastics Club for six years when
she discovered her true passion - dance. She trained in many forms of
dance, and hip hop became an early favourite. Laura has competed in
countless competitions over the years and has taken classes with many
accomplished choreographers, including Wade Robson, Lil C, and
Bradley Rapier. Entering into her eleventh year of dance, she now
enjoys helping up-and-coming dancers develop their abilities. |
Chris
Kelly grew up in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He took piano
lessons and sang in the Prince Albert Boys Choir. He received his
Bachelor's of Music Performance degree from the University of
Saskatchewan with a double major in voice and piano. He went on to
do a Master's degree in vocal performance at the University of
Western Ontario. Chris is currently a sessional lecturer in the
University of Saskatchewan's Department of Music - teaching voice
and serving as an accompanist for instrumentalists. He also
maintains a private voice and piano studio and performs regularly in
recital, opera and oratorio. He has appeared as guest soloist with
the Saskatoon and Regina symphonies and the Saskatoon Opera
Association. In addition to teaching, Chris accompanies, coaches
singers, adjudicates music festivals and is a church organist and
choir director. Chris and his wife have two young sons.In the
past, Chris has been a pianist with both the University of
Saskatchewan School of Dance and Juliette's Dance Centre. His
students regularly compete in the music theatre classes of the
Saskatoon Music Festival and he has assisted numerous high schools
with their musical productions.

Jenelle
Garchinski began dance at the age of five. By the age of ten,
her passion was dance. She has always been very involved with
activities, particularly dance. To make all the activities work in
Jenelle's weekly schedule she had to dance at two studios growing
up, one being Studio One RP Dance! She has performed in numerous
dance productions. Jenelle was a company member in the Dare to Dance
Show in 2003-2007. In 2006, Jenelle traveled with Dance Saskatchewan
to London, England where she did dance performances. She performed
in Swan Lake with the Moscow Ballet in 2007. Jenelle has been to
dance conventions in Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and
Las Vegas. In December of 2009, Jenelle left Saskatoon to dance
professionally for Princess Cruises. She completed two separate
contracts with the company, each 6 months in duration. While working
on the cruiseship Jenelle was able to travel to Alaska, Panama
Canal, Canada/ New England, and the Western Caribbean. Jenelle is
now back in Saskatoon and is very excited to be teaching at Studio
One RP Dance!
