Tiny Tots, Pre-Primary, Primary, Standard 1

These classes give your little one the ability to be creative while learning musicality, space awareness, group diversity and basic technique to enhance their love of Dance. Your child will have lots and lots of fun while learning steps to help them grow to the next level.

 

 

 

Grade 1 - Advanced Ballet

Studio One offers Ballet in the Cecchetti Syllabus. Without exams we take your dancer through all the levels of Cecchetti so they will have strong technique in barre work, centre practice, adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro, and grande allegro. Cecchetti is well-known for its beautiful, strong technique. Ballet is the basis of all dance forms and is strongly recommended for all dancers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pointe

Pointe work is a continuation of strong ballet technique. This class is determined by the ballet level of the dancer and will be recommended by Tammy Tropeau.

 

Tap

.While focusing on the C.D.T.A. Tap Syllabus at Studio One, our tappers develop strong tap technique while emphasizing rhythm and musicality. The dancers will also learn the proper terminology for each tap step.

 

 

 

 

 

Jazz

Instruction in the C.D.T.A. jazz technique with new and old stylized jazz gives our dancers a strong jazz foundation. Through unique choreography and jazz combinations your dancer will love this class.

 

 

 

 

 

Lyrical Jazz

With strong technique in both Ballet and Jazz you have the ability to express yourself through Lyrical Jazz. This class is recommended to dancers who would like to learn to express emotion through the lyrics of music. It is a favorite at Studio One.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hip-Hop

A fun, non-competitive class combining creativity with today's latest music. A great class for any beginner or advanced dancer.

 

 

 

 

 

Flamenco

The rhythmic dance from Spain. This class teaches you the proper footwork and beautiful arm and wrist movements. Through traditional and current music this class is one-of-a-kind.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Senior Classes

These classes are for experienced dancers over the age of 17 who still love to dance but do not wish to compete.

 

 

 

 

 

Jumps and Turns

A great way to progress faster while learning new and unique steps pertaining to Jumps and Turns. If you like to be challenged, this class is for you.

Strength and Flexibility

This class is for dancers who wish to increase their strength through exercises and their flexibility through long, held stretches.

Progressions

A fun class that teaches dancers technical combinations traveling across the dance floor. This class will give dancers the opportunity to push themselves through music and technique.

Line Classes

These classes are for competitive dancers who already participate in Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical Jazz. There is a minimum 20 dancers in each class. This is a great opportunity for younger dancers to work with the advanced dancers.

Competition

Studio One travels to two different competitions yearly.  Students can participate as a solo, duo, trio, small group, large group and/or line group.  All dancers who compete will be chosen by Tammy Tropeau. All classes for solos, duos and trios will be choreographed outside of classes on a private class basis.  Competition is for students who wish to push themselves technically and physically. Dancers are required to practice with their instructors and on their own.
